Parables towards an inspirational 2016

As we all welcome 2016 with open arms, here's 2 parables I would like to remind myself on live's lessons

Destiny in a tossed coin

The Japanese General Nabunaga decided to attack even though he had only one soldier to the enemy's ten. He was sure he would win but his soldiers were full of fear.

On the way to the battlefield they stopped at a Shinto shrine. Nabunaga said to his army, "I shall toss a coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If tails, we lose. Destiny will now be reveal itself". He tossed the coin. It was heads.

The soldiers were so keyed up for the fight that they wiped out the enemy. Next day an aide said to Nabunaga, "No one can change destiny".

"Right", replied the General, showing him a coin that had heads on both sides.

Questions: How much do you believe in yourself? Who decides your destiny?

A museum, well-known for it's marble sculptures, attracted large admiring crowds. A brilliantly sculpted statue of a lady was one of the masterpiece that adorned the resplendent hall.

One night, the marble tile, on which the lady stood, complained, "It is not fair! We both originated from the same cave and yet people walk ove me and admire you for hours. Why am I a stepping stone and you a masterpiece?"

The marble lady replied calmly, "Remember the day the sculptor tried to work on you with his chisel and the fuss you created, discouraging him to work any further? But when he chose me instead, I allowed him to complete what he started. It was painful no doubt, but even you would agree that the end result was worth it!"

From then on the marble tile took pride in the being a stepping stone and never complained again.

Questions: How strong is your resistance to life's effort in shaping you? Do you allow life to sculpt you to become who you are actually capable of being? If NOT, Why not?

Ever since after the wedding, I had been focusing a lot on Zumba, my work at and being a good wife. Above all, I do enjoy being a wife. Cooking is a skill that I am improving on. Well, as they say, through a men's heart is his stomach or something??! I look forward to weekends and public holidays. The to do list for the day will be filled with housework and cooking. Hence, nowadays, I only shop items for the house. Love buying kitchen gadgets and websites like Lazada is in my bookmark. I have heard good and bad reviews about Lazada but so far all my purchases are good.

I recently bought a hand blender. I love drinking soup, so why not I make healthy soup from my home kitchen? Hand blender is a must and if you have a baby, it be good too. It is needed. During the Hari Raya Haji holiday, I decided to do a test run for my new kitchen gadget. Mushroom soup is on the menu. Love how easy it is to make. Only need half an hour to prepare this. Roller Lash vs. Curl Addict

I am a mascara freak. I am! The only 1 make up that I will always buy is mascara because that's the only thing that I will finish using it. I have a thing for mascara. Recently, I purchased 2 mascara. Shuuu... Don't tell my husband. Well, the story goes like this.

I really wanted to try Benefit's latest mascara, the Roller Lash.Benefit doesn't have a store in Malacca. I am only able to get it online or KL but I can't get it online.  Asos doesn't allow benefit to be posted to Malaysia. So I told my friends about this roller lash and requested them to help me buy only when they have the time. In the meantime, I shall go on Luxola to purchase a mascara. I found funky looking mascara brush that I was dying to try it, the Curl Addict Brush. Yes! Yes! I am a curl addict. This brush is soooo me, then I bought it. After a few days, my highschool sweetheart called me and told me that she is in Benefit and she is going to buy the roller lash which cost RM95. I said "YES" to it too... So that's how I got 2 mascara in a week. I bet some of you have more than 2 mascara in your make up bag.

I have been using for weeks now.

Scale out of 10. 10 being recommendable and 1 being non-recommendable

Roller Lash - 10 *I've never used a mascara like this before
Curl Addict - 8
